Rob EckelmannMr. Rob Eckelmann 
Chairman of the Board of Directors

Rob Eckelmann was Vice President of Intel's Sales and Marketing Group and General Manager for European (EMEA) Operations. At Intel, Rob opened offices in Asia-Pacific, including China, India and the emerging markets of Southeast Asia. He began his business career at Intel, managing international strategy in the office of then-President Andy Grove. Earlier, he served in the United States government, managing international trade policy and development in the technology sector. Rob works closely with the Silecs management team and brings considerable expertise in sales strategy, international expansion, and recruitment. He is on the board of directors at various public and private technology companies, including Wolfson Microelectronics, Xaar, Visiware, and Emulation & Verification Engineering (EVE). Rob holds degrees from Princeton University, the University of Chicago and Williams College.

Mr. Kok-Whee Teo has over 20 years experiences in semiconductor and electronics industries, primarily engaged in developing new businesses, with over US$ 1 billion accumulated profits created.  Mr. Teo has extensive business, engineering and product development expertises in exploring emerging differentiated applications. He had led new global and Asia businesses in semiconductors including digital signal processor; 3D and environment-friendly interconnects; electronic gases and chemical solutions. He held senior positions in Texas Instruments; Molex; and most recently as a global VP in Linde/BOC Electronics.  Mr Teo holds MSC Industrial Engineering (Semiconductor/Electronics) and MBA from National University of Singapore.

Dr. Kirtley is a world renowned expert behind the current semiconductor dielectrics industry, involved in the business since 1981. He headed the spin-on glass (SOG) business of AlliedSignal (acquired by Honeywell) both commercially and technically, most recently as the Vice President of Technology and Growth for the Electronic Materials division. Dr. Kirtley grew Allied's spin-on business from its initial stages to the world's largest supplier of spin-on products, with sales to over 100 fabs around the world exceeding $100m annually. During his early years at Allied, Dr. Kirtley personally developed several commercial spin-on dielectric (SOD) materials, receiving 5 patents for this work. In 2000 he co-founded, and served as initial CEO for a business to business e-commerce start-up, TheSupply.com. Currently Dr. Kirtley heads the CMP pads business of ThomasWest, a privately held company supplying the semiconductor fab market. Dr. Kirtley received his Ph.D. in chemistry from UCLA in 1970. Immediately after receiving his degree, he became a college professor, first at New College in Sarasota, Florida, and then at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. While in academics, Dr. Kirtley did extensive research on organometallic compounds, published over 30 papers and a book, and received numerous grants.

Juha Rantala, Ph.D.Dr. Juha Rantala

Dr. Rantala is the key inventor behind Silecs' fundamental molecular chemistry and silicon materials technology. Before co-founding Silecs in 2000, he spent the majority of his career developing new molecules and chemicals for organic and inorganic spin-on films, focusing on dielectrics and optical films for semiconductor, CMOS image sensor and display applications. A large part of his research work was done at the University of Arizona, where Dr. Rantala continues to hold a faculty position. Prior to co-founding Silecs he also served at VTT Electronics, the national laboratory of Finland, as Chief Research Scientist and Deputy Head of Manufacturing Technologies, leading activities in advanced materials development. During his tenure at VTT Dr. Rantala led several R&D projects with leading international technology companies mainly in the semiconductor and sensor technology fields. He has authored more than 50 publications, frequently given invited talks and chaired several conferences as well as a authored and co-authored a broad range of patents on novel dielectric materials, lithography processes and optical materials. Dr. Rantala holds a PhD. degree in inorganic chemistry from the University of Oulu.

Staffan IngebornMr. Staffan Ingeborn

Staffan Ingeborn is the founder and Managing Investment Director of InnovationsKapital. Previously he was a self employed management consultant and private investor, leading various large companies as 'chairman-for-hire'. Prior to setting up his own consultancy he was the Managing Director of Frico AB and during this period the company was successfully introduced to the Swedish Stock Exchange. Before this he was the General Manager of the Hygiene Division of LIC. Mr. Ingeborn has a BSc degree from the University of Göteborg.

Olav Ostin Mr. Olav Ostin

Olav co-founded Tempo in early 2006 when the venture division of Nova Capital Management Limited was de-merged to form Tempo. At Nova, he was a Director and Joint Head of Ventures having joined Nova in January 2004 to lead Nova’s activities in the venture market alongside David Tate.

Between 2000 and 2004, he was a Managing Director of the ETF Group, a venture capital company, where he was responsible for sponsoring and managing all investments in the UK and the Nordic region. At ETF, he managed 6 new and follow-on investments and 3 exits. He also sat on the Board of 6 companies. Before ETF, he spent over 6 years in investment banking at Enskilda Securities where he was a Director and the Head of the technology team in London. Olav Ostin was educated at EM Lyon in France.

Mr. Peter Chang Mr. Peter Chang

Peter Chang is currently Senior Consultant to UMC after retiring as the company’s Vice Chairman in October 2007. He joined UMC in 1989 as a technical consultant, and has overseen UMC's Global fab operations as well as the Quality Services Division. Mr. Chang was also president of United Semiconductor Corporation (USC), a UMC joint venture company. Under his leadership, USC was widely acclaimed as the most technologically advanced and profitable foundry company in the world. He has also served as President and CEO of UMC.

Prior to joining UMC, Mr. Chang worked for companies including Hewlett-Packard, Zilog, Seeq Technology, and Paradigm Technology. He holds a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, where he also conducted his doctoral studies. Mr. Chang's expertise is in process module development, process integration and fab operations.

The Association of Business Management in 1994 recognized Mr. Chang's achievements in the business world with the National Management Award for Outstanding Performance in Production. The Chinese Management Association awarded him the K. T. Lee Management Medal in 1998.
